Antwain Jackson
Senior Pastor | Founder of the Equation Church
(Affectionately known as “Bishop AJ”)
Antwain Jackson is a creative voice in the Church, an innovative leader, and the author of the influential book “The Creative Leader.” Affectionately known as Bishop AJ, he has a unique ability to take complex principles and teach them in a way that is clear, practical, and inspiring, equipping individuals to apply truth to every sphere of their lives.
A natural affirmer with a bright smile and non-judgmental love, he is passionate about pulling out the potential, gifts, and God-given brilliance in others. Known for being cutting edge yet down to earth, Bishop AJ encourages, empowers, and elevates every person he encounters.
With close to 30 years of ministry experience, he has served in multiple leadership capacities. Consecrated a Bishop on August 31, 2008, he currently serves as the Assistant Presiding Bishop of the House of God Organization.
He is also the Founding Pastor of The Equation Church in St. Louis, Missouri, a thriving multigenerational and multi-ethnic congregation launched on Easter Sunday 2010. In addition, he oversees and mentors pastors and leaders across the country.
Bishop AJ was officially passed the pastorate of the historic City of Hope International Church in San Diego. Under his leadership, the ministry continues to thrive with fresh vision, bold faith, and the same Kingdom mandate it has always carried. Today, that campus is known as Equation Church San Diego, standing firm on the mission that fuels everything he does: Love God. Help People. Change the World.
In the public arena, Antwain is known for his commitment to community outreach and civic engagement. He is often found at the city gates building relationships with civic leaders, influencers, and public officials throughout St. Louis. His impact was formally recognized when the Mayor proclaimed October 29 as Antwain Jackson Day, and again in 2022 when he was named one of the city’s Top 100 Most Influential People.
As a modern-day Apostle with wisdom beyond his years, Bishop AJ’s passion is to see people become everything God intended them to be. His mission is clear, consistent, and lived out daily:
